right tackroom gang who have followed my posts on the first pony we bought in sept which turned out to be a more second pony than first and which we have not sold is going to come back to our yard for winter. my friend who runs yard offered to have him there for free ( love her sooo much) but what actually do you do whith turned away or roughed off ponies ? I was thinking lightweight turnout rug during day, heavier at night , save combo rug until jan/feb really bad weather. Do you feed them hard food or just hay ??? and if you wanted to get a pony ready for the earlier shows next spring in the hope of qualifying for a few bigger ones i.e. PUK etc when do you actually start working them again ?

thanks butkin and others who show little ponies for any advice.
p.s. interestingly dd2 is absolutely ecstatic pony1 coming back , though she seems quite taken with pony2 she just adores pony1 funny eh? I can see me keeping both - how did i go from no ponies to a 2 pony ( +loanpony for dd1) family in the space of 8 weeks ???????
