my hairy beasts insanely? would it be funnier if I said hairy breasts instead?

they've just both been such superstars today, am especially impressed with Joey, was not expecting to come on so far so quickly. I didn't want our hack to end!

what a shame (for me) their day off is such a bright one today

I suppose it is IS important to give them a day off?

We've got gales and pouring rain. It's been dark outside all day. Dhorse got through the electric fence last night and couldn't find his way back to the shelter so was on an open hilltop in the storm, foolish creature.

The only really nice day we had all week, I was waiting in for the plumber so missed my chance for a ride. Dhorse gets far too many days off!

MitchyInge · 23/11/2009 09:08

your horse is a storm chaser!

it turned out wet and windy after all so no great loss

we are supposed to be riding tonight though, enthusiasm pretty much zero in this weather

I love mine so YANBU. I hug him and smell him, he smells lovely. But he looks at me as if to say "get off woman".

He has finally got over his cough and cold - rode him this morning and not a sign of a cough, sneeze, blow etc. Hopefully I can start riding him properly now and get to know him more as a ridden horse as opposed to a field ornament! (I even cantered on this lovely wide flat verge today and he loved it - ) Aren't they great?

MitchyInge · 23/11/2009 13:07

I am addicted to nibbling Barney's neck and licking his nose and velvety bits I like it when he nuzzles me in return, wrapping his lovely long neck around me so I can lean against him.

He has finally got the hang of kissing me for Polos too Poor horse!

Mine has this look on his face when I kiss and sniff him...must admit I've not got round to licking him yet Mitchy . How do I teach him to kiss me for polos? Am intrigued. Do I just kiss him and give him a polo until he gets it?

MitchyInge · 23/11/2009 15:41

grab his mush, snog him vigorously and then reward with polo

not really, I wait for him to lift his nose to mine (I think I started this by holding the polo next to my nose) and then 'kiss' before letting him have the polo

I freely admit that I need to get a life though

(I do grab his mush and snog him vigorously sometimes too though, perhaps it is a sexual partner rather than a life that I need?)

My old pony used to love me blowing raspberries on his nose, he would stand there all dreamy. He would put up with any amount of cuddles.
New dhorse won't let me anywhere near his nose, the misery!

MitchyInge · 24/11/2009 08:45

why would they have such lovely soft velvety bits if not for snogging?

OP posts:
TurkeyLurkey · 25/11/2009 14:24

Mitchy- was going to come on here and say that I gave my lovely boy a big snog today and thought of you - somehow that sentence doesn't sound quite right though does it?

I tried getting him to kiss me for a carrot but he wasn't interested in the kiss, more of "wheres me carrot". He still has this face on him when I do it - he must learn to love it more or I will drive him mad!

Pixel · 25/11/2009 15:12

Dhorse still won't let me kiss his nose but he is getting better at letting me cuddle his head so that will have to do for now I suppose. I do love it when they put their heads down against your chest and let you put your arms round them and then go all sleepy. (Still miss the velvety nose but he is young - he will learn ).
