Lethargic after worming?
broguemum · 31/05/2009 21:24
Just wormed my girls yesterday (equimaxx) and today they are pretty lethargic and generally a bit bleurgh. No elevated temperature or coughing but also no running around the paddock when I turned them out, lots of loitering at the gate and just not being themselves if you see what I mean. I was wondering if it had something to do with the worming? I have never noticed a reaction before but could this be one?

Could they just be finding it a bit hot? My TB is lying flat out doing his dead horse impression, and has been for the last hour. When I went to check him he was most put out!
They may also being bothered by flies and want to come in for shelter - mine are in a yard all day, and when not snoozing are tucked away in the shelter hiding from flies etc.

I've never known of a reaction to worming like that. As Frosty says could well be just the heat.
