Looking for a (horsey!) penpal for DD, 9

I thought this might be a safe place to look! DD is 9 (yr4) and is quite nervous/cautious. She struggles a bit with friendships (possibly ND), and has quite low self esteem.

She loves riding, we have a 15hh loan (we both ride) plus she shares a little welshie. She hacks and schools, not brave enough to show but she'd love to! I just wondered if anyone had a DD who might like to write and send pics etc. as I think it could be a lovely thing to do. I have fond memories of having a penpal from a similar age! It might be the only letters they ever write and receive!

Hi there, I think this is such a lovely idea! I’ve got an 8yr old daughter (Y3) who loves horse riding and dreams of having her own pony one day. She a very cautious and gentle girl, been riding since she was 2 and just starting to learn how to jump. I’ve also got fond memories of having a pen pal and funnily enough we came across the letters I received in an old box the other day and my daughter was very curious about it.

Ahhh that’s such a lovely idea. I’ve had pen pals and it’s so exciting to get letters in the post. There’s lots of little bits they can send to each other .. stickers etc. Hope this works out for her OP
