Vetting unstarted 3yr old

Would you vet a 3 year old? I'm in the process of purchasing a 3yr old connie. I know some people who always vet and others who never do. Think I might do a 2 strange, but what's the general consensus with you all.

She's lovely! I think it would be worth having vetting for heart, lungs, eyes etc. Not a full 5*

So he is 😆 I just thought ooh pretty pony 😍

I could eat him up! What a dream.

I guess a lot of what you’d be looking for in a 5-stage wouldn’t show up until later, once he’s properly working. On the other hand, not vetting at all seems crazy (or for deep-pocketed, sentimental people).

What kind of use do you intend to put him to?

What a beauty 😍

I would definitely get some sort of vetting done.

Very true, think I'll just do a 2 stage, 5 seems a bit excessive at this point.

General all rounder really, hacking, pop a few jumps, bit of unaffiliated showing too probably.

Some insurance companies want a 5-stage depending on the value & cover so worth checking with your insurance.
If you're going to pay out for the 5-stage anyway then you are better off paying before purchase so any problems are identified
