I can't help but wonder why someone would continually hunt/event/team chase a horse who keeps going lame. Latest post showing he is lame again, but wants to hunt him on Sunday. Call me old fashioned, but I do feel she ought to be resting the poor lad until he's completely sound, no?

She quite rightly deserved the backlash on her previous post. Even if it was ‘just’ an abscess no way should she have been considering hunting this weekend.
He is in a shocking condition.

I completely agree. She turned off commenting on that post, and is complaining this morning about receiving 'nasty' comments about it. As far as I could see, people were rightly concerned for his welfare - there was no nastiness.

The last time he had an abcess, she continued to ride him - even jumping him 😞

At what point will she put him first, and actually let him recover?

She a poor rider and an absolutely dreadful horse owner who always puts herself and whatever she wants to do above her horses welfare. The bleeding legs when she took him hunting previously were distressing to see. He's not been sound for a long time. Mr Mo falls in a ditch due to bad judgement and incompetent riding wasn't a good look either 😬.

Oh gosh, I'd forgotten about the bleeding legs whilst hunting video 😢

The ditch incident- is that when she made him walk several times beside a cow field when he was clearly wound up, whilst screaming abuse at him? That was actually horrible to watch.

Never heard of this one so went to look. He looks dreadful considering the work she wants him to do!

Throwmoneyatit · 31/03/2026 18:30

'Mummy' shouldn't have a horse. Poor boy.

She is a disgraceful human being who thrives off Mr Mo being scared of her. She clearly belongs to the school of 'scare your horse enough and they'll do anything'.

She makes me sick. Along with Blog of a Cob.

Totally agree. The video mentioned earlier, where the poor horse ended up in a ditch due to her complete lack of judgement and compassion was awful - yet she defends all her actions and blocks anyone who shows concern for Mo.

Not seen Blog of a Cob, so went to have a look. Wish I hadn't tbh :(

I remember that video. She's lucky he didn't break a leg falling in that ditch. She's not got an ounce of compassion for that poor boy.

So surprised that nobody has pulled BOAC up whilst out competing. I'm not body/weight shaming, but I struggle to believe she is within the weight limitations of the horse.

Eyesopenwideawake · 03/04/2026 11:41

She's so engrossed in being an 'influencer' that Mo comes a distant second.

MyBeloved · 28/05/2026 21:07

So, it appears he's very much injured. Hope he gets the recovery time he needs

OP posts:
liveforsummer · 07/06/2026 10:35

I’ve not seen this one but it seems to be a growing trend for horse influencers to do this shit for views. Sox the stallion for instance drives me insane - terribly mannered horse and all the (clueless) followers supporting and saying his spirited and funny he is so she shows something worse to get even more of a reaction the next time. Poor animals!

NotAChanceIn · 07/06/2026 11:52

In fairness for Sox, whilst he's not the best behaved, he's in great condition. And whilst I would be scared of a horse like him, he's had the same owner for years, she genuinely loves him and I expect will stay with her for the rest of his life.
Mo's situation is awful and needs to be rested.

nolongeranutjob · 07/06/2026 13:59

It looks like Mo is going to get some veterinary attention at last and is getting a well deserved rest. Obviously she doesn't prefer to pay for his treatment herself and is currently begging for funds to be transferred via paypal 🙄.

MyBeloved · 09/06/2026 20:21

I noticed the begging for money posts too. I'd imagine her fans will contribute. Wonder what would happen if she was unable to raise the funds? At least he's being properly rested.

The injured chin from the curb chain hunting was nasty.

What's the story with blob the cob? Instagram is see an amateurish rider on a fiesty horse.

There's 2 blog of a cob. One's OK, this one really isn't. www.instagram.com/blog.of.a.cob/

She's out competing so whilst you can't stop someone of this size getting on a horse at a private yard there really should be some weight limit at BD and other competition venues.

MyBeloved · 09/06/2026 20:57

BOAC is really difficult to watch - particularly in canter.

Ah I saw a different page.
Edited as I thought she'd said she lost 100lbs, but that seems to be years ago. I'm not good on instragram

I agree with Sox. He will always be with his owner and I believe he's been with her since he was young. With regards to mares, he behaves very well, especially considering he doesn't have stallion fencing.

I cannot stand Mo's owner. Why on earth you wouldn't have insurance or a hefty savings account for a horse, I don't know. Also not entirely sure she hasn't made the situation worse for Mo by riding him like a machine when he should have still been recovering. Also hate the situations she puts Mo in and there is absolutely no forgiveness on her side.

If they can make certain tack and bits legal and unlegal (rightly so), they should make the rider horse weight ratio a legal point too.

I hate seeing her in canter and the way she collapses on him after a jump. Annoys me that all her fans say what a cracking rider she is.

MyBeloved · 17/06/2026 16:00

She's saying only £300 has been raised towards Mo's vet fees, and has put out another plea for contributions. I'm dumbfounded.

Well this has sent me down a rabbit hole! I generally try to stay away from horsey social media where I can, as I find it’s full of absolute idiots. Every now and again I can’t help but take a quick peek though, or even worse, Facebook decides it will show me some stuff it thinks I want to see. I’ve had a look at Mr Mo and BoaC and I reckon the algorithms will have me looking at horsey rubbish for weeks now.

Mr Mo - I vaguely remember getting into a debate with her last year. I had no idea at the time that she was an ‘influencer’ I just happen to follow various Rights of Way pages and she posted about a refurbished river crossing, managing to whip up an absolute froth of anger on Facebook about it being impossible to ride a horse through, and this storm flowed over onto Horse and Hound and other local news sites. My club of ‘happy hackers’ happen to ride in this area, and we said it looked interesting enough that we would have a club outing and demonstrate how sensible horses and riders would approach it. She did not like this. Having had a look now, what I’ve seen is a rather under-covered horse with poor feet (I spotted an abscess and a large crack,) the worst case of mud fever/rain scald/agricultural chemical burn or something else that stripped the hair of its legs, a serious skin abrasion caused by inappropriate use of a curb chain, and a serious soft tissue injury which she may or may not have ignored for a while in order to keep riding it. There’s a lot of aggressive shouting at her horse which on one occasion results in a face plant into a deep nettle-y ditch, as well as other various falls. Fortunately she’s captured all of this on camera and is prepared to show it to the world (god knows why she thinks this is a good idea.)

I’ve not come across this Blog of a Cob at all before. In general she does look as though she can ride well. But I’m baffled at how someone can put so much effort into their horse and so little effort into themselves when the end result of your training as a team is to produce a harmonious horse and rider. My husband tells me I should treat myself like I treat my horses. It took a while for me to realise this was necessary for reasonable success. But I keep my eye on my horses’ diets and my own now, my horse’s physical fitness and my own. I lost some weight a couple of years ago (I was nowhere near the size of this rider to begin with though) and it has had such a positive effect on my riding and my horses’ way of going. I think it’s a shame when you see a relatively decent rider who is quite literally holding themself and their horses back simply by being far too heavy. You can see the lovely light patchy horse making best efforts but struggling over some of the jumps.

Anyway. Off to sit and wait for an avalanche of terrible equestrian influencers to plop into my social media now. 🙄

tinyspiny · 18/06/2026 23:40

For anybody on FB who wants to see well cared for horses have a look at South Coast Equine Vets/Natalie McGoldrick Equine . Lovely horses .

nolongeranutjob · 19/06/2026 23:30

Natalie is certainly a good example of how shameless wealthy people can convince gullible folks to fund her luxury hobby. The amount of suffering she put her horse Harry through in order to sponge off her followers with the now familiar gofundme was sickening. I'm blocked now obviously as anyone who's not a total sycophant is unwelcome.
