Present/gesture idea for my niece, whose pony is being put down next week

I’m so sad for my 13 year old niece, whose pony is her world. She is devastated. I live far away from her so sadly can’t be there when the day comes. But I’d like to do something for her. I’m not a horse person and don’t know what.
Would anyone have an idea of something I can do or a present I can send? Just to let her know that I’m thinking of her. Maybe something a wee bit more original than a framed photo of her and her horse.
Many thanks.

If you can get hold of some of the tail, there are companies that make them into bracelets.

Or a shoe, but that is harder to get hold of unless she has a collection already from previous farrier visits/lost shoes. Things can be made from that.

Thank you very much.

Etsy has some lovely pet memorial boxes customised snd you can put horses hair, photos and keepsakes in there. I have some for my cats.

Do you have (or could you get from her mum) lots of photos and make her a photo book? We lost my daughter’s mare last year and she didn’t want to keep her ashes or have any of her tail etc what’s important to her is the memories of the times they had together. She was very touched when my work colleagues sent her some flowers and a card (for context our family’s had a series of losses/bad accidents and my colleagues have been extremely supportive). I hope the day goes as smoothly as possible and that your niece is ok

I was thinking exactly the same thing. A woman at my old stables did this, it meant so much to her.

Gosh, in her situation I’d want something to take my mind off the poor pony.

Gig tickets (though that would involve her parents in having to take her, plus friend).

Or a really ridiculous amount of luxury chocolate from somewhere like

Pump Street
Rococo
Melt

When our sons cat died we had a photo turned into one of those glass memorial ornaments , we used Forever-Always and they couldn’t have been more helpful and are happy to do previews so you know what you are getting .
