Recommendations for good, waterproof warm coats please, going to request a practical gift from my husband this year...
Looking at Reincoat and Equidry. Are there any others highly recommended or any opinions on those?

It depends what you want to do TBH. Personally I find the Equidry type coats much too big and I've heard that they can be too warm to muck out / ride in. I would imagine that they are great if you are spending lots of time teaching / waiting outside etc though.

I have a lemieux riding coat which is good for riding (it has leg straps and a split vent at the back) It's waterproof but not massively warm. I've also just been treated to a Holland Cooper long puffer coat. It was a present and I wouldn't have spent the money on myself but it is lovely - really warm and feels amazing.

I've just got a mountain horse winter riding coat. Completely waterproof and incredibly warm.

Should've said really, its for doing the chores around the yard, leading daughter around, doing groundwork with pony and will probably be dog walking coat too. I do feel the cold so cosy and waterproof is a big requirement.

Love my equidry. I’ve got the lite version so it’s not too warm and I can layer up underneath if it’s really cold

Equidry but the Evo Lite version. The full original version is too hot.
