Section D
Mare
Aged 7
Previously had a foal
Very green but seems relaxed about the stuff she's been given to do (like basic schooling, walk on the road, farm ride)

£4000.00

A local woman had something similar for sale in spring. She was newly backed and foal had just been weaned. She wanted 8k which I laughed at! Offered her 4k and she declined. Pony is still for sale now 😂

So I would also say 4k.

Edited to add- pony was advertised as 14.2hh and she was barely 14hh in the flesh!

What area are you in? Wonder if it's the same mare!

This mare is in Derbyshire

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 25/09/2025 21:04

somewhere between £3-6k depending on how quality a stamp she was

Yes this - about £4-5k seems a good benchmark but if a show quality Welsh D from a good line, weight carrier with plenty of bone, flashy with lots of hair and/or a pretty colour you could definitely add a few k onto baseline. Does she jump? Would she vet sound including x rays (yes people do seem to do these on 'ordinary' ponies these days)?

Thekormachameleon · 25/09/2025 22:22

3.5- 6k depending on breeding

ifyoulikealotofchocolateonyour · 26/09/2025 16:02

I don't know much about the breed particularly so I couldn't comment on how good of a stamp she is. She's chestnut but dark. Her advert is on horsequest if you want to look!
