Will horses eat raspberry bushes/raspberries?

Very random question!
there is a pony paddock at the bottom of our garden with 2 ponies in it (neither the paddock or the ponies are ours). There is a border on our side of the fence. This year I planted sunflowers - and the ponies ate them! There are other plants that they haven’t eaten. They can reach over and eat anything above 3 feet.
if I plant raspberry bushes will they also eat those or is this a plant that they will ignore? Thank you.

Ours love foraging for blackberries in the hedgerows around their fields and one of their favourite treats are strawberries so I’m afraid I don’t think your raspberries will last long if the ponies can reach them …

Apparently they don’t love rosemary or mint. Or you could try a holly hedge …

Even if they don't really like them they are probably going to try them. Mine used to love blackberries, leaves, berries, shoots. He only left the very prickly stems. I don't know about raspberries, but he would definitely give them a go before writing them off. He certainly wasn't starved, or even slightly peckish, given that he had a paddock of grazing and hay at night.

They will definitely eat your raspberry canes 😁 I’d move the border or raise the fence

They’ll definitely give them a good go 🫣

If you don’t want them to eat your plants you either need to raise the fencing so they can’t reach or plant something like holly.

The Fat Cob loves raspberries. His favourite past time is to look mournful over the garden fence and persuade the child to feed him raspberries. Sorry!
