Tendon sheath inflammation

Anyone have any experience of recovery from tendon sheath inflammation.
DD’s mare was diagnosed with this in right hind in May. Has had steroid injections, swelling went down, she improved. Started walking rehab and then onto trot intervals with Vets approval. Now she’s looking slightly lame and uncomfortable again. Slightly swollen and puffy.
We only bought the mare last November and were looking forward to a summer of camps and events. Which of course hasn’t happened at all and now heading into autumn again and still unable to ride her properly 😩
Does anyone have any recovery stories to give us some hope?! She is a sweet mare and DD saved for 5 years to buy her own pony and is devastated!

Had a tendon sheath tear and just did box rest + very slow rehab.
I'm personally not a fan of injecting etc.

You have to remember we've had really hard ground too and many horses are suffering from concussions and soft tissue damage just from being in the field.
I would personally give the pony time off in the field until Spring then scan and re-assess. But you also need the vet out now to scan/assess and see where you are at seeing as pony is already under them.

My horse has just spent 2 weeks in hospital for lameness. She came 70% sounder after blocking her tendon sheath. Her plantar ligament was thickened which was constricting her tendon. I was given the option to medicate but was told I would be in the same position in 4-6 weeks.

Should have added that my horse has had surgery. Im 2 weeks into rehab at the min.

There's been sooo many soft tissue damage lameness this year from the concrete ground!

If she was mine? I'd turn away for a few months (assuming it really is just inflammation and not a tear - have you scanned etc?) softer ground, see how she is Jan/Feb. i know that's a hard thing to consider but sometimes rest beats anything.

Thanks for replies 😊
Yes she has been scanned and rehab programme is as advised by Vet following 4 weeks off after injection.
Perhaps I should ask Vet to re-scan.
The joint is definitely swollen through pony is happy enough in herself, she is resting that leg a lot so it must be bothering her 😞

I hope your pony comes right. It's stressful isn't it. 😭
