Anyone Else Counting Poo's

horse eating GIF

My two (Highland Pony and Dutch WB) are out together on a couple of acres of well grazed grass and I am madly counting the number of poo piles morning and evening just to be sure everyone is receiving enough to eat 🙄neither look deprived in the slightest by the way - so between 13 - 16 in the mornings and 10 - 13 in the evenings 🤔

Anyone else do this or is this my particular madness!

I’ve always gone on their condition and how they act in themselves. If they have condition and are acting their normal selves then I’d leave them be!

When its hot like this, I don't want to eat a lot, so I assume its the same for them. They look well and behave in their usual perky manner, so I assume that they are getting enough.

My Welsh D and Tb are fat, living on my winter trash paddock on a diet. Saving my grass for winter.
I wasn't counting poo before, unless they were stabled for any reason.
I'm counting now because since being on a diet I've been hoping to see a reduction of poos, but nope, averaging 32 poos in 24 hours.
