Mulberry trees

Has anyone had experiences with Mulberry trees in their pasture. I adopted 3 horses. Haven't had horses in my pasture for over 15 years. Volunteer Mulberry trees have grown. Looking it up it says it's ok if the horses eat the leaves, berries and bark. Is that really true?

Google says non-toxic to horses. Personally I would want to protect the trunks so they don’t get ringbarked, because mulberries are delicious :)
