Hopefully bringing our new boy home next month from France. He will be 5* vetted and vaccinated etc before he leaves there.

iv asked livery owner regarding isolation and she said she will speak to her vet.

but what will it look like?

thank you! Xx

We have just taken our horse to France and back and there was no compulsory isolation period - just health check and certificate that needed to be completed by a vet in France on the way back (and a blood test and vet check we had to do before leaving the UK).

But some yards require all new horses to be in isolation for 2 weeks, which usually means they are kept in stables away from other horses on the yard and aren't allowed to be turned out with the herd. It depends on the yard though as some are less strict than others.
