Hi :)
I ride for a few years as a preteen/early teen but stopped when I went off to college.
I was gifted a voucher for a lesson out of the blue and really enjoyed being back in the saddle.subsequently my imagination has gone wild with all the possibilities but I do feel super rusty and know it's likely to be a long journey to get back to riding well.
I'm currently doing a half hr private lesson/week, partly because it's £££ and partly because my thigh muscles need the recovery!!
Im not sure what the purpose of my post is, maybe just to find kindred spirits who are new back to it. It's exciting!

I think there might be an adult returning to riding thread if you scroll down a bit. Glad you are enjoying your return to the saddle, it really is a lovely hobby. I know people who love walking, running cycling etc and whilst I enjoy them I love riding.

I fully returned to riding in 2013 after a break - I dabbled in my off years but not consistent

I started once a week - then had 2 lessons a week, then a lesson a week and a loan, then I bought, and now I have 2, changed my career to work with horses and compete again…:

Slippery slope this returning to riding stuff but you’ll love it 😂

Hahaha sounds great to me. My bank balance is weeping though.
