Riding Boot Zip Repair

I have an old pair of long leather boots that I love and fit like a glove. The zip on one boot has broken and I’m wondering where to look to have it repaired. I know Timpson do shoe repairs but obviously not horse specialists. I am worried a ‘normal’ repair might not stand up to the rigours of horse riding.
Has anyone any experience of this to recommend where to look?

I took a pair of DD's to Timpsons but the price they quoted me was nearly as much as the boots cost new. I'm sore it would have been fine but not worth the money. Got a much fairer price in the end from an independent cobbler. Have a look for one of them in your area

Another vote for a local independent cobbler. Mine repaired the boot in house and had it ready close of business next day, timpsons were much, much more expensive and side it would have to be sent away and would take two weeks.

Will have a look but these boots would cost around £400 to replace so hoping one zip repair will be much cheaper. I know our local diy shop is half the price for key cutting though so you may be right.

your local saddler would be worth asking.

I too recommend using a local independent cobbler - I know one, he has the equipment to repair zips in boots, UGG boots, handbags, stitch up belts / leather jackets etc.
