yard boots for dd (12)

Dd will soon start volunteering at the yard and of course this mean mucking out and getting into all the wet and muddy areas. Her shoes size is 4 and she isn't that tall yet so junior boots are probably best. I wan't that impressed with Hunters, although I owned my pair a long time ago so could consider trying them. If your dc mucks out at the yard, what boots are they wearing and would you recommend them?

My dd 14 has le mieux wellies, they are neoprene lined so far warmer than normal wellies and comfier. She wears them all day and walks out with kids on ponies in them. She does have adults ones although my 11 old frequently pinches them and loves them. They aren't hugely wide. We actually had to size up which is rare. They are her only footwear which is a size 5 and best news is they don't break the bank compared to other brands of neoprene lined boots (plus they are fashionable)

DD has Grubs which come just above mid calf and are half thick rubber then half neoprene. She got them because somebody at our yard was doing a bulk discounted order so literally everybody is wearing them now! I have muck boots which are a bit more expensive but they were bought for me so I didn't argue.

I didn't get great longevity out of Hunters TBH, they just had the country fair chique that others don't have, but I don't really rate them.
