Washing horseware outer rug

I have the outer rain rug and then clip in liners, which I then wash in the washing machine. Is it ok to do the same with the outer rain proof rug? Worried it will no longer we water tight

Take it to someone who cleans rugs. We have a lady locally who does rug cleaning. She re waterproofs them. If you don’t know of anyone who offers the service ask on your local facebook

I agree - take it to a cleaner and have it reproofed. It’s well worth it as the waterproofing lasts longer. I have done it myself but personally think it’s better done professionally

I use the liners too and never wash the outer rug. If the liners are clean I don't see the point.

I hate Mondays - yes that was my original plan but I need to do some minor repairs and spray with water proofer and read the rug needs to be clean.
