Le Mieux/Crafty Ponies

DD has been given a Le Mieux pony for her birthday. Knowing the slightly sketchy backstory of these I'd prefer to buy the accessories for it from Crafty Ponies, does anyone know if they fit the same etc?

Le Mieux has a sketchy backstory? News to me!! Spill the beans

Was it for copying the crafty ponies concept but charging double?

I don’t think it’s sketchy, I think it was a bit of a leap from those at crafty ponies to say that le mieux copied their idea, and I say this as someone who doesn’t rate LM gear at all.

That's my objection, yes. All I know is that Crafty Ponies were around before LM and then something remarkably similar appeared in their product range.

And if you Google 'Craft Pony' the top (sponsored) link is the LM website with a page entitled Crafty Pony. Make of that what you will.

DD has both and the fit is different. The Crafty Pony's are slightly shorter and stockier whereas the Le Mieux ones are much firmer and leggier. DD says that the saddles and pads are okay but the bridles don't fit both well.

Hi all . Which would you recommend? The price difference is substantial ? Whats the actual main diff ? I didn’t even know either were a thing until today when they appeared on a certain list

Hate to say it as I'm not keen on the LM prices or the way they market their stuff but DD has both and she prefers the LM pony as the accessories are better quality and nice to play with. I would say Crafty is good for younger ones but LM for older end of the age range. DD is 11 and still asking accessories for Xmas. The prices are a joke but it's better than wanting phone and make up I guess 🤷‍♀️

Thank you, my 8 year old is horse obsessed , keeps asking to have riding lessons which we’ve been avoiding £££. I think I’ll take your advice and go with LM for her and Crafty for my 6 year old (who doesn’t care about horses but no doubt there’ll be war if we only have one)
it is eye watering though I have to say! Hoping to source a 2nd hand bundle close to home somehow

Yeah keep checking marketplace etc, you never know. Good luck!
