Ophena magnetic safety stirrups

Due to my peri menopausal anxiety 🙃. I'm suddenly struggling watching my teen daughter jump and have visions of her getting dragged..🤦‍♀️. Daughters oblivious, it all me 🙈.

I've been looking into the ophena magnetic stirrups. Just wondered if anybody had used them and how they found them and if they are worth the money, as they are expensive!.

There are two options the s and pro. The pro have more tred so I'm trying to find out if this is needed (I'm hoping not as 100 more 😱) but they will be for jumping.

She currently has the le mieux vector but I keep hearing horror story's about them not opening.

Thankyou! Xx

I have the avelco quick release magnet ones and they have worked for me once, would they be a cheaper option as have been about for a while?

I have the Ophenas, I used them at time when I kept losing a stirrup on the horse I was riding at that time and it was affecting my confidence. They are good and they do work. However, my instructor blamed them for an issue I had with keeping my weight down into my legs (as with the Ophena you can get away with not doing so as they stick to your feet) so depending on how your daughter rides I’d maybe take that into account as they may not be beneficial to general schooling.

Personally I don't like them. As well as the issue a pp suggests, sometimes the stirrup arm, even on a safety stirrup, saves you from going out the side door. They are also not approved for eventing etc! My dc have free jumps and tech Venice. They both love the techs the most
