Horsebox restoration

Hello everyone!

I'm curious if anyone has experience with renovating horseboxes. I am undecided if I should buy one which is pretty much done or buy and old worn out horsebox and have it restored. I came across Roda, a company near me, and I'm impressed by their custom restoration projects.

I'd love to see some of your own projects for inspiration! Additionally, has anyone here worked with Roda before? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on their designs.

Also, if you have any advice on what to keep in mind during this process, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance 😀

I’ve just bought a 7.5 box - I ended up spending quite a bit more than I’d originally planned but I’ve bought something that was extremely well built and well-maintained. The mechanic who did a pre purchase inspection for me said he couldn’t find anything wrong with it - he said far too many boxes he deals with look good on the surface but are absolute horror shows under the fancy paintwork. Personally I would spend as much as you can afford on something built on a good chassis and that’s been looked after and definitely get anything you buy inspected by an independent mechanic who specialises in horseboxes.
