HRT patches and riding

Does anyone else have trouble with HRT patches while riding? I use patches which can rub when riding. And be quite sore. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I just need o use them in a slightly different place😳which my GP doesn't want.

I don't ride but i put mine on my stomach just above the bikini line. Bum cheeks /hip ones can peel where my swimming costume rubs. My doc has never dictated positioning other than bum, hip, tummy....

Thank you. I was told on my bum. Will ask about alternative placement. She was very clear last time I asked, but its not working as it is.

Use the gel instead. Much less faff.

I'm under private meno care at Newson and they've not had any issue with where i place it. Getting trickier with my new meno belly but i just try to avoid the creases.....

Gel not as effective for me so had to ditch that option

Patches were recommended for me to help keep levels steady. Sounds like a belly patch might work. Will ask if that's OK with the patches I use.

I use Estradot - they stick better for me, and smaller than Evorel. Maybe try Estradot if you are not on those?

ClematisWren · 08/05/2024 06:48

I use evorel and put them on my upper thighs, front or side. They don’t cause me any bother when riding. Anywhere below the waist is fine.

HighlandCowbag · 08/05/2024 06:50

Thighs for me and no problem when riding.

HighlandCowbag · 08/05/2024 06:51

Or hip rather.

Thank you all. Will ask about thighs as well. Slightly less wobbly than my tummy!

I ride, and I put my HRT patches on my outer thigh. Never had a problem.
