Eating pop in fields

Hiya,

I’m non horsey, but have loaned ponies for DD for a number of years. Current loan in with yard owner’s pony. Just been up doing jobs, and other pony was happily eating fresh poo in the field. Quick google suggests this isn’t great. Would you bother mentioning this ? Chances are it won’t have been first time and she’s probably aware. We use WhatsApp group to communicate, as not always up here at same time.

I just don’t want to be annoying !

Well horses are one of the few (only?) animals that normally eat their own poo so it’s not horrendous . But I would assume there is something missing from the pony’s diet that it needs to.
