Im sure there is a very good face book page about HWD. I believe the breed society has info on their website Has your Connie been tested and was there’re anything in the passport

Thank you. It's one we looked at to purchase. Hasn't been tested so we are organising that but I'm just planning just in case it has it as I've heard it can be dreadful to manage so wondered if it was a definite do not go there!!

Definitely have the pony tested. The result you want is either N/N which is clear or N/HWSD which means a carrier, this will only be relevant if considering breeding but won’t affect the pony. If it comes back HWSD/HWSD I would personally walk away after how much heartbreak people have gone through with this
