Dressage saddle pad colour

Most frivolous post of the day... my 5yo is doing a bit of combined training and won her first one on the lead rein, thought I should sort our kit out properly. I used a black saddle-shaped numnah for the first one that we use for local showing but would like to get her a dressage square pad.
I use white on my bright bay horse but her pony is (white) grey, so it wouldn't contrast. Are any muted colours ok or is there a protocol?

You can use any muted colour you like especially if it’s unaffiliated. My dd used to use a black dressage square on her grey pony as white just made him look dirty

Ah thank you! I think grey might look nice! I'll have a look

What colour is her jacket?

LaPufalina · 20/08/2022 17:29

Tweed but will be inheriting a navy one from her pony club pal for next season

So grey wouldn't go Blush

Get a navy pad then. I definitely wouldn't put either a grey or black pad with navy jacket. If your tweed has a navy velvet collar then all good for now too

Never even thought about the jacket! Than god I asked ConfusedBlush
