Hi all, sorry - I’m new to the admin side of this! Currently have car breakdown cover through bank and trailer cover was provided as part of the purchase package…but only covers things if there’s a problem with the trailer…. If something goes wrong with my car then I’ll need someone to rescue me (/the car) AND the trailer/horses. I’m assuming I need specialist breakdown cover….any recommendations?

We have Equine Rescue Services cover - it’s about £150-ish a year and covers the trailer, getting the horse(s) home and the car - and usefully covers the car even if you’re not towing.

If you have horses you need specialist insurance yes, same goes for caravans. A simple trailer is covered by my rac policy though

I think the nfu rescue everything but you need to buy both insurance and breakdown through them.
