Has anyone here ever been on a riding holiday?

I've about to book myself onto my first ever riding holiday and wanted to see if anyone has been on one and can share any advice/tips??. I've been riding over 30 years but only in the UK so I'm very excited!

Oohh thank you, so many great tips and all these recommendations and ideas of where to go are making me want to book more before I've even done this first one! I'm confident and find most of the riding I've done in the UK (at riding stables) pretty slow so I'm not worried about galloping etc on the trip. @Shannith what is the name of the Irish one you mentioned? That sounds like a good adventure although I'm very much loking forward to the sunny weather on my trip and I guess in Ireland that is less likely!

thank you @maxelly your post has given me lots of tips that had not even crossed my mind. The ride I'm doing is a few nights camping but the tents look quite luxurious (for tents) so think it will be more like a glamping experience. eek CANNOT WAIT!!!! roll on November
