Hello
After some recommendations please for yard boots - like a take on dubarrys but a lot cheaper! For my 10 year old with size 5 adult feet

I was about to say Dubarry!! Honestly I’ve found with yard boots buy cheap buy twice. Mine are 6/7 years old now and still come up new with a clean. Stood up to the worst winter we’ve had mud wise this year on the yard. I love them.
Otherwise Le Chameu for good wellies.

Presumably if she’s only 10 she’s still growing? I got my dd some Dubarrys a few years ago and they’ve been fantastic but there’s no way I’d have got them before I was 100% convinced her feet weren’t going to get any bigger.

Does she need to be able to ride in them or just for yard jobs? If it’s the latter, then something like these Woofwear boots are good but they’re too chunky to get into stirrups safely

Do you mean the yard boots that have thick rubber feet and neoprene tops or "country boots" that don't look out of place walking round Badminton? I would never wear my country boots to do yard jobs unless it's fairly dry - otherwise I use my Grubs muckers which are brilliant when you are literally over your ankles in mud. And not particularly expensive.

Second the woof wear boots. I love them, cheap, look horsey rather than wellies and last forever, plus comfortable, warm and dry.

I have country boots, and ariat short yard/ride boots. If I needed just yard boots I'd definitely go for the long woof wear for winter and short for summer. When my country boots give up I will definitely have the long woofwear ones for yard jobs.

I had a pair of woof Wear wellies which didn't last a winter (split down the back), I know that Shires Moretta do a range of children's country boots that go up to a size 5 but have a slimmer calf fitting, I've found shires stuff to be fairly decent quality in general!

I have toggi canyon boots. Wear them everywhere! Comfiest boots ever and pretty robust.
Only stick my wellies on in extreme mud or ice.
