How much to rent field?

I have a 2 acre field, split in two. Good fences. With water to the fields and electricity, parking. There's a very old stable and field shelter.

We are in Kent near Tunbridge Wells.

Any idea how much that could rent out for?

What is access like for safe hacking? That can have a huge bearing if there is no ménage

Yes a fair bit of hacking. There are some riding schools not too far away and groups of horses often pass by the house. Bewl water isn't far.

It varies quite a bit in different areas but you could offer it as grazing for 2 horses at £20 per week per horse and see if you get any interest. Bear in mind you will be responsible for pasture care and making sure the fencing is stock proof.

Grass livery usually around £100pcm this area. But 2 acres isn't really enough for 2 horses. You might get 1horse/1pony or 2/3 small ponies on it especially if they make use of the stable/shelter so they aren't out 24/7 in winter.
Also depends if sand/clay how the land copes in winter.
I'd say try & rent it as a whole for £250-300pcm as there is a stable too but you'll need to specify a limit to number of horses/ponies.

Thank you. That's very helpful as I have no idea what I'm doing!

No problem! I'd definitely get some kind of rental contract sorted out & think about muck heaps, access and visit times if it's next to your house. Looks like there's a contract on liverylist site. British Horse Society (BHS) site is also useful for land management for horses - might bring up things you hadn't thought of.
Kent Equestrian Grapevine is a big Facebook group - if you have a search for DIY livery/grass livery prices it'll give you some price guidance.

Also with a small acerage you might need to say poo picking must be done to keep the paddocks clean. Some people will do it anyway, others don't bother.
