Best clippers

My daughter is after some clippers to learn how to clip her horse. We'd like lightweight, quiet and possibly cordless. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I can advise do not buy Harmony Plus. They are dreadful. Been repaired twice, ok for trimming, and doing the head but that's about it.

Thanks @Lineofconcepcion. I'll bear that in mind. Advice on what not to buy is useful too.

Masterclip roamers. They are cordless and the battery lasts hours

Thanks @Polkadotties. I'll check those out.

Lister Liberty clippers

I clip my hair native every few weeks and they are by far the best!

My recommendation would be book the horse into the nearest horse spa and let someone else do it , clipping is the worse job associated with horses .

Heiniger xplorers

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. @Floralnomad Grin I agree but the horse mad daughter wants to learn so as long as it's her and not me that's fine 😂

Another vote for the lister liberty - light weight, easy to use and make a horrible chore bearable 🙂

Whatever type you buy get a boiler suit to go with them , the hair still gets everywhere but less so than without .

I have some lister clippers that I bought secondhand about fifteen years ago. I think they are from the eighties. They're obviously neither quiet nor cordless but they're certainly reliable!

Another vote for cordless Masterclip Roamers, but also the Masterclip trimmers and I think they do discounts when you buy the set.
