Riding holiday weekend with child

I’d like to take my son away for a night and do some riding. A hack together and maybe a lesson too and an overnight stay. Can anyone recommend somewhere within 2-3 hours drive of London? Thanks!

I assume you are both competent riders.
What kind of lesson would you enjoy? Are you at the same level? Do you have a preference over jumping, flatwork or even a cross-country lesson?
I think it would be a lot easier to stay somewhere independently of the riding center. Not many riding centers offer accommodation.

Caeigeo in Wales might be an option? Although it might be too far away. They do have accommodation on site and have some lovely horses and routes. You'll ride for approx 5-6hrs per day on their weekend rudes. Need to be able to walk trot and canter competently, although they really do look after you if you're short of confidence.
You'd need to check the age requirements though.

My son is not that experienced, so I want somewhere where he can have a lesson and then we do an easy hack together. Happy to stay somewhere separate. I love Wales but it is a bit of a long drive for a weekend unfortunately

I went here in the summer with my non horsey DP ( I also haven't ridden for years) and they were brilliant www.cotswoldsriding.co.uk/
We didn't stay in the b&b though so I don't know what that was like
