Would you put a Dales pony on a field like this? (Am thinking just about the slope, not grazing, fencing etc.)

Yes. Without a second thought.

Definitely. What a view!

EmmaC78 · 02/11/2019 20:11

Yes. I live in Scotland so we have no choice but to put them in fields like that :)

MilkLady02 · 02/11/2019 20:12

Yes! At my last yard every field was steeper than that and there were all kinds on them from native ponies to thoroughbreds.

QuestionableMouse · 03/11/2019 16:16

Yes! It's good for them. A stud near me turns all their yearlings and two year olds out on hilly fields. Helps develop muscles, balance and makes them more aware of what they're doing with their feet.

Definitely would looks fine to me Smile

Thank you, everyone!

Yes, as long as it had good grass cover all year long. If it started having substantial muddy patches in the winter, they would be very slippery and you’d start risking tendon and ligament injuries.
