Veteran show advice

We are lucky enough to have a 28 year old welsh cross who is still in work and acts like a 3 year old. He's our world and we cherish every single day we have him.

My daughter has decided that she wants to do a bit of showing with him and try to qualify him for a bigger show next year. We've done a bit of showing before but not a lot and mostly ridden. She wants to do it Inhand as he's a happy hacker now and we don't ride him in the school anymore.

Any tips for inhand ?

We are not competitive in the slightest and we know we bring the best boy home, but I would love to set them in the ring with the best chance possible.

He is a blue roan so has black legs so am guessing my daughter will need different colour trousers etc.

Thanks in advance for any help.
