I need some more boots as mine have split. Which do people recommend?

Ariat. Very comfy and durable. Look the part and not as eye wateringly expensive as Dubarry.

I have never had Dubarry, but Ariat are lovely. Always so comfy, and last really well.

Ariat every time

GothMummy · 01/10/2019 19:28

Oh no! Dubarry!

WheelDecide · 01/10/2019 20:00

Are Ariat quite a slim fit?

Riding boots or Country boots ?

Riding I’d say Ariat they’re hardwearing and smart but comfy once worn in.
County boots I’d say Dublin rather than Durberry just because they’re so much cheaper but still comfy and last ages. Only thing is everyone’s got them 🙄

Ariat riding boots come in different widths - DD’s are extra slim and fit beautifully. She’s getting some Dubarry country boots for her birthday (today!) so will find out what the fit on those is like later!

Thanks all.

Ariats are brilliant. Over the years DD has had several pairs which have been well looked after. Make sure you keep them clean and resoled/heeled as necessary. Using a good leather cream on them keeps the leather supple and less likely to crack. Ariats have different leg widths and heights depending on what style you want. They also do some fab insulated ones - think they’re Bromonts. DD also has Dubarrys which are about 12 years old and still going strong but doesn’t generally ride in them

I've got Ariat Bromonts (the insulated ones) which I got for riding, but they're so comfortable I could just about live in them. Great for dog-walking too.

Booboostwo · 08/10/2019 21:56

Ariat, you can live in them from the first day.

I had some Ariats which I had to bin as they fell apart, I am now wearing my old Dubarrys which are far better made and more comfortable

I have Ariat yard boots. Very comfy and dry, especially in the sand school when wet. Only took a weekend or two to break them in.

Depends what for?

Walking or riding in?

SarahSissions · 24/10/2019 17:37
