ventilated riding hats?

Are ventilated riding hats any good? I need to replace my current bog-standard skull cap and wondering whether these ventilated options are worth it.

I have a champion ventair and notice limited if any difference.
The only ones I’ve ever found that actually felt ventilated were those GPA ones fashionable with showjumpers about ten years ago but I think they don’t make them now. Speed air I think they were called?

My Samshield is excellent for ventilation and I ride in a Mediterranean country.

I tried some nice ventilated hats, but ended up with a velvet/showjumping hat as nothing else fitted. I have a big head as well as problems with hats pushing the sides of my glasses in.

I bought a ventilated hat when I damaged my other falling off. I notice absolutely no difference! Did not live up to the hype. It is comfy though!

My Samshield is amazing compared to my cheaper velvet hat.
