Unlevel pelvis

Hi does anyone have any advice on horses with an unlevel pelvis? Been told it just needs a chiropractor once a year when doing normal hacking but anything more would need more chiroprator visits. For a hacking /having fun home non competitive would this be ok? Could it develop into something bigger?

Is this a horse you are thinking of buying?

An unlevel pelvis is unbalanced muscle development. There will be a reason and it could be one of several. It could be anything from working more on one rein than the other via a wonky rider to an underlying physical problem. If you are thinking of buying get it vetted.

Thanks, yes its one i had enquired about but unfortunately i think i wont take it any further. It was just an issue i know nothing about, appreciated the sellars honesty. Finding the whole new horse search very hard on so many levels but il get there in the end!

I would avoid it but only because one horse I have experience of with an unlevel pelvis was dangerous to ride. I'm sure some can be successfully treated and that if it's caused by injury it may be able to recover in time. But it seems like too big a risk to take to me.
