Pony Christmas!

Anyone else starting their Christmas shopping for pony mad kids?
I wondered if anyone else had some good ideas for must-haves!
I've got an 8 year old who has just started sharing the most adorable little pony, any suggestions for gifts for girl or pony?

We got my pony-mad dd a subscription to Pony magazine at about that age - she loved it and it’s got lots of very useful stuff in it. They usually have subscription offers especially at this time of year so you get the magazine plus a gift (I think dd got a grooming kit) which gives you something to put under the tree 😊

There’s also the Pony annual which my dad loved opening at Christmas

Other ideas - if you’re near London then taking her for a pre-Christmas trip to Olympia would be lovely - I’ve been taking dd since she was 9 and it’s a lovely bit of mum/daughter bonding (she’s now 16).

You could also help her to make the pony some homemade treats - dd made some last week with molasses which her horse absolutely loved

We got my 8 year old a num nah embroidered with her name and her ponies name.

She also had some rainbow reins which have been brilliant in helping her to improve her riding.

And gloves. Gloves. And did I say gives???? What do they do with them.

Yep, all the little girls at my yard have saddle pads with their + pony’s name on them. And hoodies. And matching hat silks/ boots (for pony!) and tops. They also all have those Lickit horse treats with the plastic holders (which they all seem to eat themselves small children are weird. )

I recommend the Pony Club Secrets range of books by Stacy Gregg. Ideal for her age - DD loved them.. Try to start with the first one - Mystic and the Midnight Ride - as they make more sense if read in order. They now do multipacks..
