Has anyone been and is it any good? I am looking for some jumping lessons and they seemed to come up best on an online search. i sent a fairly detailed messgae about what I was looking for and recieved quite a blunt reply - which is fone I am sure they are very busy and I will call to discuss as suggested. but there seems to be many reviews about how rude the staff are...... I am going to book regardless as I believe in judging for yourself but just wondered if anyone has any experience with them?

I learned to ride there as a child and helped out at the weekend in the hope of a free ride once in a blue moon (i.e. over 20 years ago) and took some lessons as an adult for a few months about a year ago.

Avoid weekend lessons like the plague, big group lessons of children and you'll spend half the time waiting for one child to get their pony to canter to the rear of the ride or something.

Weekday evenings will tend to be adults or older teens so a lot more purposeful, and will tend to be smaller groups. My riding came on a lot and I did feel generally the staff were fine. The instructor was Belinda. She was really good, checked what everyone wanted to get out lessons and gave everyone individual feedback at the end of the lesson. The whole experience was a different world from riding there as a child, probably due to improved standards over the last 20 years but also I suspect adults paying for their own lessons are a different kettle of fish.

If you're free during the day on weekdays they have some slots for 1:1's.

I had lessons from Danielle a few years back before she got her own place and really rated her. She's highly qualified and actually a seriously nice person!
