Thanks to everyone who helped me with my car for towing question.

I have bought an Ifor 510 from a friend.

Am in the process of finding the right car.

Do you have trailer breakdown
Insurance. If so, who with? Any general insurance tips for trailers or towing vehicles would also be great.

When I was towing I had my car ( a 4x4) insured with NFU. When I rang to insure the trailer they added it onto my car's insurance together with breakdown cover which included recovering the horses onboard at the time. Thankfully never had to use it but it was peace of mind.
Give NFU a call, they are notoriously very good insurers.

I have OHTO rescue for mine. I had to call them once a few years ago. We were 200 miles from home and they came to our rescue within an hour or 2 with a wagon to take horse and humans home and a flatbed to load up the car and trailer. It would have cost me hundreds, pushing into thousands if I'd had to pay for it myself. Best £70 I think I've ever spent.
If I am just travelling locally I don't get it as I am usually hacking distance home or know enough horsey people to help me out. If I were regularly travelling more than 25 miles away though I would .
I have just renewed and it cost me £80 as we're off on a 140 mile trip to a championships this weekend.
