Hi has anybody had a horse with kissing spine? If so how much approximately were the surgery costs!
Thanks

A friend of mine had a horse operated on about 3 years ago. Her bill was about £2700 for surgery and hospital stay but not including follow up vet appointments. She was however insured. Not sure if vets would have charged the same if the horse wasn’t insured.,xx

Yes, mine did - we started with steroids and then had the standing surgery. I think all in it was about £3000 but that didn’t include physio. Think carefully about it, my horse although he made a good recovery was never 100% comfortable again and I did ride him but lost him to something else 2 years after surgery whilst I was thinking about retiring him.
