Hi guys,
I handed my notice in to my current yard 2 weeks ago via email, our contract states 2 months written notice is required and I felt email would be the best option as I can almost guarantee a physical letter would 'go missing'.
The yard owners live on site and its hit and miss whether we see either of them on a day to day basis. I have seen one a couple of times shortly after sending my email and got given the silent treatment which indicates to me that they have received it.
So my question is, do i just leave it there? Do I follow up with a letter sticking to my original leaving date? Or is it a case of I've notified them so as long as I pay for the 2 months I'm good to carry on as I am?
I've only had to give verbal notice before and previous yard managers were a lot more approachable.
