Pony will not eat!

Hi, we have a pony that needs a supplement, he is a cross bred TB with a native pony. We had no problem getting him to eat hard feed during the winter but now that the summer grass is through, he's not bothered. We have tried disguising the taste of the supplement, we have tried giving it to him with various combinations to tempt him to eat but he just won't eat hard feed now, even without the supplement. He's just not bothered! Is there any food out there that will be guaranteed to tempt him and get him to eat his supplement?

Do you bring him in for a bit each day? If so feed after a couple of hours when his grass belly has gone down a bit. If he doesn't come in try making a jam and supplement sandwich.

Hi Claystone we tried the jam sandwich and it didn't work! But I didn't think of bringing him in for a bit first so we will try that, thanks! A friend who has TBs has also recommended tempting him with Coolstance and calm and condition cubes. The rest of my herd are natives and I have NEVER had this problem before!

Blimey, never met a horse that didn't like jam!

A friend who takes on a lot of ex-racers has also suggested that we try him on Coolstance and calm and conditioning cubes - apparently no pony can resist!

Sorry, I am going mad! I have just told you the same thing twice!
