Hi all,

Looks like i’m looking for a needle in a haystack. I’m looking for assisted diy stabling with good day time turn out and stable at night.

Most yards in the area seem to be riding schools or busy commercial yards. Any recommendations greatly appreciated... already searched google etc... so far nothing found. Also any suggestions as to how to find these of the beaten track yards very much appreciated.

Thank you xx

Look at aerial maps of the area, knock on doors of anywhere that looks promising? Lots of people take in liveries to fund their own horse habit.

Are you on Facebook?

We have a local horse community group here (sorry, not near Bexley) and quite often there are little livery yards advertising on there.

Tried Facebook and have joined groups such as Kent & Bexley grapevine. Plenty of commercial yards but just too busy. It is nice to have one nearby to go to for shows etc but not to be stabled. Looking for something quiet and tucked away.

Yellow pages and ring farmers? We occasionally get calls, and sometimes I'm tempted as we have empty stables and enough grass, and then I remember how insane some horse owners are and we stick to goats and sheep. You might get lucky though.

Have you tried Kent Equestrian Grapevine, that seems to be the most popular FB site
