Could you look at this Pony's hooves please?

They don't look good, do they? I've not been around horses since I was a kid. How bad are they?
I don't know the owner, the pony belongs to a business.
I'm more than happy to speak to someone about this or report it, I'm just not sure if it's bad enough because I'm far from an expert!
Thanks in advance.

Your right don't look good at all. They're well overdue a trim and are dropping on the heels. It'll probably take some remedial farriery to correct it
XanderHarris · 14/11/2017 17:10
Thanks.
I'm not sure what to do about it? Would you email the business and ask them about it or go straight to reporting it to someone? Would it be the rspsa if so?
Sorry, so many questions.

Can the pony walk? Looks like it could be the long toes and low heels seen on laminitics. If they are hobbling I'd go for RSPCA as is it totally unfair to leave a pony in that condition! If they seem to walk ok I'd probably contact the business.
rotavixsucks · 14/11/2017 18:51
I'd contact the business in the first instance and then if no luck the RSPCA. They may just need educating (assuming the business is not horse related).

That’s awful!
As said that could cause or be laminitis.
RSPCA. World horse welfare. Bransbury & redwings are good charity depending on location.
That pony will be crippled :(

I emailed them and they replied straight back to me instantly! He came to them like that and is undergoing treatment. He had them cut back a few weeks ago and has to wait to have it done again.
