For adult dd for Christmas. Which brand is good? She mostly works on the yard, with occasional hacks out so must be hard-wearing "working" ones, rather than smart competition ones. What do you recommend on a fairly limited budget.

I really like the noble outfitters riding tights - so comfy for yard work (somewhere for your phone and great to ride in.

Thanks, but out of my budget...Sad

I stock up when Aldi do their 'horse' weeks. I find their jodhpurs wash and wear well for yard work and hacking.

I have been wearing cord Harry halls for the last 20 years they are pretty hard wearing!

everythingis · 17/10/2016 12:55

They are between £35-40 according to google

dementedma · 17/10/2016 19:15

Thanks.Got some Harry Halls reduced to £20.00 from £35 so am happy with that.

Great!

Another vote for the Aldi ones - I bought loads last time they had them in and chucked all my old ones out, I think they were £12.99 a pair. I have a beige pair in a size 26 still with the tags on for sale at what they cost if anyone wants a pair - bought far more than I needed!

I was going to say ALDI because I've just bought the denim breeches with the nubuck strapping and can honestly say they are the nicest, comfiest ones I've ever had, and I've had plenty in 35 years. Tbh I'm wearing them as jodhs with short boots and as I'm short in the leg they fit perfectly. I wear long socks underneath and they don't ride up or anything. They are great for working in as the dust and hair just brushes off.

Pikeur without hesitation. Comfortable stylish and the best wearing ive ever had.

ProseccoBitch · 20/10/2016 09:28

OP said she had a limited budget so think that would count Pikeur out...

Butkin1 · 20/10/2016 10:29

Sorry late to this thread. We tend to buy specialist jods for our activities - Pikeur, Le Beau Cheval and Mane Dealer - but we all wear Harry Hall for everyday. I've got the corduroy style ones for Winter which are really comfortable, warm and very durable. A perfect choice..

I have a pair of Harry Halls . I've just worked out that they are 32 years old and still going strong !
