Has anyone used these dealers? They have a few horses that look suitable for my daughter and I was impressed with their website/YouTube channel/twitter etc. however on closer googling there Is a page on Facebook warning about how awful they are....
Has anyone bought from them? What were your experiences?

What does the fb page say exactly, how many people are agreeing disagreeing?

Any one can make a good looking web page.

Where do they get thier stock from? Are they selling on behalf of owners or they straight from the sales?

Do they do anything else but sell? Do they train/school/break horses for people? Do they offer lessons, are they also a livery yard?

I personally wouldn't use a dealer, unless they had a good word of mouth reputation.

doodlebops · 13/05/2016 10:27

Well yes its easy to put information on a website, wether its true or not! Thats why I would like to hear from others who have used them

What does the fb people say though, and how many others agreeing with them? I think that would be fairly good indicator. Why don't you ask people in their area on the local horse fb pages?

m.facebook.com/Reviews-and-warnings-about-Aquila-Sport-Horses-Dealers-908207532607739/

is this the fb page you were talking about?

I don't know them but...no serious dealer attempts to specialise in all disciplines. A dressage dealer may get the odd show jumper in because of exceptional circumstances but no one who is serious tries to have dressage, SJ and eventerr at the same time. Also I looked at their most expensive horses, there is no mention of competition records and specific results which is one of the most important things if you want a sports horse. When I looked at the videos I wouldn't say these were quality horses, more run of the mill horses which might be able to do a low all rounder job if they have the right temperament.

What are you looking for exactly?

Don't touch them. Those aren't reviews from disgruntled numpties. Aquila sound dreadful. I feel sorry for the poor horses that suffer through them.

doodlebops · 13/05/2016 23:32

Yes that's the one.... I guess the search continues!
