Hi, has anyone done this test? It's been given as an option at our pony club, and wonder if it is needed or just something to do to keep kids interested and informed. Basically is it something my child should be doing when sitting GCSE's this year and also fitting is actual time with riding her horse and having riding lessons? Or best to leave till a later date? Thank you.

My daughter did it last year. Wasn't that hard, she has just passed her c+ which is far more in depth. She is in her GCSE year at the minute. C+ is equivalent to a BHS grade 1 and May be worth UCAS points def worth doing. She learnt a lot. She will be signing up for her B test next year

Pony club tests teach your child stable management and horse care as well as test their riding skills they are absolutely worth doing. The C test is still very basic and should be fine as an extra curricular activity with GCSE.
