I haven't posted on here for a while, but have lurked. Old timers might remember that I bought dpony nearly 4 years ago for my DD's to share. She has mainly been ridden by Dd1 who is now nearly 12,whilst Dd2 has had a couple of 12hh ponies on loan.Dd2 is a confident rider who likes whizzy ponies, but Dd1 likes the steadier sort, that are harder to find.We had reluctantly decided that Dd1 had outgrown Dpony in size and capability and next year we'd have to look for something bigger, with more scope, but not whizzy. Frankly,I wasn't looking forward to it.
However, out of the blue, last Tuesday,I mentioned it to our instructor, and she said she knew of a super pony up for loan. His owner wanted a PC home, but only by recommendation and had asked our instructor if she knew of anyone. We went to see him on Thursday, they offered to take him to a rally for her to try there on Sunday, and he was fabulous. He hadn't done PC for ,6 years, but was exactly what they'd said he would be. She rode him all day and loved him and he us coming to live with us this week. He is big enough at 14.1,and chunky, for me to ride too and his owner only lives a few miles away,so we plan to hack out together when I can borrow him from Dd1.
