shopping list

Anyone planning a badminton shopping list? what should i look out for? so far i have big buckets of treats, new hi viz and a fleece blanket.

Call me an old fart but I wouldn't do any actual shopping at Badminton!

a) think of the mark up
b) you'll have to lug it all around with you

When I went I just mooched through the tradestands briefly, made a mental note of anything that looked interesting and then did what I'd paid a monumental amount of money to do - watch the horses!

We don't go to Badminton as it clashes with the show season for us. However we never miss Burghley and we go one day (usually Thursday) for shopping and Saturday for watching. Don't think we'd shop on the Saturday - a bun fight and waste of valuable time. We do like to shop though and on Thursday we often look for whatever we need because the competition often drives prices down ie on jodhpur boots, rugs etc. and there is a huge choice. The main downside is that they only usually have horse sized things and 3 day event type stuff. We prefer horse shows for the sort of gear we need.

we are going for the four days so i am sure there will be plenty of time for everything. i am hoping that there will be a bit of haggling to be done. i am very much looking forward to the fridays dressage.
