I think we may have a pony........I need to organise insurance. I plan to phone NFU and shearwater for quotes tomorrow.....anyone else I should talk too?

Avoid E&L like the plague. Pet Plan are supposed to be good.

Mine is with NFU, never had to claim for the horse, but pet, car and house insurance are all with them too. Have claimed on pet & car insurance and they've been superb for us.

I have gone with NFU......it was just better cover for the money than with shearwater. NFU have a very good reputation around here. I am going to get them to quote on contents, cars and dog, when they all come up

Animal friends is very good

Stoneways were great when I had to claim for both vets and death and had a sensible premium and excess. Equicover are also very good. Nfu seem to be whacking up prices at the moment.

I'm with NFU and can't complain (yet). You can also try KBIS & SEIB.

Animal Friends have been great for me. Also were one of the cheapest so I'm a happy customer!
